Project “Eyes”

VENUE: Berga Bazārs, Marijas iela 13 TIME: 21:00

Good deed store SECOND WIND and CLUB OF CONTEMPORARY RHYTHMICAL MUSIC participate in the culture forum White Night with an audiovisual installation project EYES, related to the leading motive of this year’s event: ”Open your eyes, don’t blink, where are you, what do you think?!”

Project EYES is created in the form of a multimedia installation where sound, light, image and human emotions create a powerful and energetic common image. The effect of live music and DJ-synthesised sounds, of impressive eye collages by video artists and photographers will blend with the surreal impression of the presence of “real” fairies. Drawings and writings left by the spectators on the “wall of good wishes” will merge with the result of artists’ creative process.

EYES will encourage everyone to look at each other through the prism of sound and visual images, become open-minded, able to see, understand the wishes of others, their longing, their questions, and make them ponder, how important it is to do a good deed just like that – voluntarily, willingly, with pleasure and love.

The aim of the creators of this project is to speak to the visitors of the event in the language of art and address each and every one who is ready to do good deeds. The language of contemporary art is the one most shrewd and emotional, it speaks to everyone, shaking them out of everyday routine, spiritual laziness and egoism.
