Trying to react as creatively as possible to the current economic situation and continue accentuating the importance of culture and art in the survival process of a clever society, AVE SOL concert organization of Riga City council culture department proudly announces its first participation in the White Night with a special night concert program in the AVE SOL concert hall, one of the most prominent examples of classicism in the architecture of Riga. The project will allow to take an unusual view of the building itself as well as the culture events taking place there. Visitors will be invited to succumb to surprises and expand the borders of their musical experiences.

In part one of the concert program Ieva Parša, one of the best interpreters of contemporary vocal music in Latvia, together with an instrumental quartet and composers Mārīte Dombrovska, Orests Silabriedis, Edgars Raginskis and Kristaps Pētersons will invite the audience along to the fusion of music and poetry on the threshold of musical theatre.

In part two the range of artistic activities will be expanded and the event will take place both in the concert hall and the square next to it with the participation of organist Jānis Pelše and Dj Monsta (Uldis Cīrulis). The concept of their program is the synthesis of two seemingly incompatibly styles of making music. It is intended to be a conversation of two very different artists in the language of musical improvisation, making use of the classics of organ music as well as quotations from Latvian avant-garde and contemporary pieces. The execution of the project will involve direct sound broadcast to the square next to the concert hall and the audience will be able to view the process of this conversation. Also the facade of the concert hall will be illuminated, thus both accentuating architectonic shapes and visualising the progress of the ongoing conversation as well as mark AVE SOL concert hall on the map of White Night events.
